This combination of basmati rice, husked and split mung beans with vegetables and spices is considered in ayurveda to be an ideal recipe for a light, nutritious and satisfying meal. Perfect for adding vegetables of your choice.
One serving (80 g) – briefly bring to the boil in about 300 ml water, cover and simmer over low heat for approx. 20 – 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. After ten minutes add chopped vegetables of your choice – e.g. carrots, sweet pepper, fennel, courgettes. Add salt and butter or ghee after cooking, to suit your own taste.
